Dennis Edward Muzzy was born in Marshalltown Iowa. He was brought up in an artistic atmosphere with a father who illustrated all his stories with drawings and a mother who painted ceramic figurines. He has lived in Ontario Canada where he completed studies at the Woodstock Collegiate Institute. After graduation from the Palmer College of Chiropractic he moved to Kentucky and entertained artistic endeavors in the custom framing business. Studying art under various instructors and close examination of the old masters work, he found portraiture to be the avenue to allow his creative venue.

Drawings are executed on laid paper using graphite, white, red or black chalk. They range in size up to 11 by 17 inches They will be matted using 100 percent rag matting and framed in approximate styled 1 inch moulding.
In a modern time and for longevity all oils will be executed on modern canvas even though the pigment will be represented by companies who have been making artist pigments since 1766.
